Climate Direct Action Camp

More than 100 activists gathered in Montana for a Climate Ground Zero Citizens Direct Action Training Camp in June of 2008. The camp brought together climate activists from across the U.S. and Canada to share skills, strategies, and stories to solve the climate crisis. Attendees networked on issues ranging from the Canadian tar sands to mountaintop removal coal mining in Appalachia and learned skills including the history and practice of nonviolent direct action, campaign strategy, media skills and community organizing.
