Seed Savers Exchange

Seed Savers Exchange serves more than 11,000 members, and the public at large, through its mission to preserve the world’s diverse but endangered garden heritage for future generations. Founded in 1975, the nonprofit organization consists of a network of people committed to collecting, conserving, and sharing heirloom seeds and plants. Seed Savers houses its collection of 25,000 heirloom seeds on a 890-acre farm near Decorah, Iowa. The organization is the largest non-governmental seed bank in the U.S. Photos courtesy of Seed Savers.
